Dobytown Kiwanis committed $15,000 to Project Eliminate and reached its goal in January 2015 with an anonymous gift of $2,500. Dobytown Kiwanis donated another $2,500 along with proceeds from the 2015 Garage Sale for a current total of $17,500 towards the Eliminate Project. Dobytown raised money for Eliminate through a local Gas Raffle, HyVee Grand Opening Employee Driving Service and Reserve fund.
With a $5,000 donation to Kiwanis International Eliminate Project, Dobytown Kiwanis honored four members with the "The Eliminate Project" Walter Zeller Fellow Award for service to the community. Receivng their awards from Dobytown Vice President Jim Warren (center) are Cheryl Gerdes, Diane Nikels, Paul Braden and Lt. Governor of Division 24 and Immediate Past President Gary Forbess. Other Zeller Awards have been given to Bill Kenagy, Charlie Pickens, Gerry Menke, John Lakey, Mark Reid and Eliminate Project Chair Jim Warren.
